There are so many Pirates of the... parody doujinshi out these days. It's wonderful to see a Kakairu one! :D
Would you mind terribly if I cleaned up the scans a bit and cross-posted to kakairu_scans? It might take a while, but you'll receive full credits of course. And whomever falls prey to scanlating this as well. After I clean and resize to a more manageable and uniform size, the file size should be less intimidating. But it's up to you of course. :]

Oh, but of course he is! I mean, it's Gai-kanchou. I actually laughed out loud when I first saw him. Because, my gosh, the outfit and his WIG pffffffft! I love Gai so much. And now the question is, hours later, is he still the best thing you've seen? ;D

Gai's wig is FTW. I can see it being all blond for some reason, not grey/white like it should be. GAI AS A BLOND?! CAN IT BE?!?!
Considering how lame my day has been... Still the best thing I've seen all day. XD

Gai's wig is very FTW. Actually, now that you mention it, I kind of see it as blond, too... xDDD At least in my case, I think it's because I'm used to white = blond in manga. And now that you've brought it up... INDEED, HE LOOKS BLOND OH MY GOOOOSH!! AND WHY AM I STRANGELY HAPPY ABOUT THIS?!
Aw, I'm sorry to hear you've had a bad day. )= But at least Gai-kanchou is here to brighten up things with his wig-wearing, springtime of youth-ness!
And if you need more happiness, might I point out that in scan 018.jpg of the first book there is a random bunny riding on the back of a shark (dolphin?) in the ocean? ;) No, I'm not making this up. xD

It was just an excuse to use my font collection. XDDDD
The Another World one was the hardest to get white since it was the darkest tho lol. I actually had most of the first book done after like the first week. I'm just slow about the rest. XDDD
Actually the more I worked on it the more I appreciated the story. :) Where did you get the books, may I ask?

Yep, I don't really know what it was with Another World, but the pages ended up looking like that... o.O Well, I'm happy to hear that you were able to make it work regardless!
Believe me, I definitely don't blame you for wanting your own copy of the books. They suck you in with their awesome, don't they? At least, that's what happened to me. xD To answer your question, I bought them off of Yahoo Japan Auctions. Since I am not actually living in Japan, I buy off of that site using the middle man Shopping Mall Japan (though there are others, like Noppin). I actually saw the first two books listed again the other day, but I can't find them now. )= I guess the auction for them ended. Want me to tell you if I see them again? ^^ I'd offer to sell you mine, but, well, I'm too much in love with them. Haha.

Yeah they did! The more I read and looked at it the more I was like ZOMG MUST HAVE! I can't afford to buy them now anyhow but I'll have to keep an eye out. I dislike using shipping services though, lol. Otherwise I would have bought tons of stuff off Y!J and Mbok by now. XDDDD

Oh, believe me, I understand. x.x I've found SMJ to be pretty trustworthy, but I don't even want to know how much money I've given them in fees. xD Probably enough to buy a small country. I love such a love/hate relationship with them, I swear. I need them if I ever want to complete my collection of doujinshi by my favorite doujinka, but because of them I'm broke all of the time. 'Tis a curse... *shakes fist at the sky* I hope you're able to find your own copy of the books some day! ^^

Besides doujin and figures, I like to buy clothes. Who needs money/food when you can have things?! If only Japanese/Chinese/Korean stores and auction sites would let international people buy on their own, they would have so many sales! I don't even know how I would ask a proxy to buy stuff for me... "I want EVERYTHING that person is selling, but for the lowest/opening bid only!" XDDDDD

Oh, do I feel your pain. x.x I love my doujinshi so much, but having to go through a middle man is a bit of a hassle, to say the least. It's actually pretty easy once you get the hang of it (aren't all things?), especially when it's a middle man service that's professional and experienced. But still. I'd be so much richer if I didn't have to worry about extra shipping costs, transfer fees, and the commission. *cries over nearly empty wallet*
There are actually a few other KakaIru doujinshi I've been eyeing, but I have to wait until the doujinshi I want for my main collection stops appearing. xD Plus, I'm going to Naka-Kon in less than a month... Why was I not born a millionaire?! *headdesk*

I've never used a middle man buyer but sometimes I really get tempted. I dun like ppl in mah bzns, lolololol. Plus I usually ship in directly using DHL so I don't have to worry about customs fees which is really good on me.
Tell the doujinshi to give you a break! or make friends with people in Japan and force ask them to help you out at a lower price. XDDDDD

xDDD I have to admit, I sometimes wonder what the people taking care of my packages think when they see the massive amounts of BL doujinshi I buy. I'm sure it's not that surprising since they also buy hentei and stuff for people, but still. Haha.
That's a good idea! Now, to go and find the closest Japanese person I can stalk befriend. x3
