I had found a rental home to move in at the beginning of the month. Our lease at the apartment ends at the end of December.
I had delt with contacting ppl, driving to view the place with a stranger (stepping outta my comfort zone here), and then paid $45 for the application fees and spent 45min traffic to drop off the paperwork in time.
The failure happened, however, when I told my significant other than we need the $1200 security deposit on Dec. 9 to take the house off the market till we would sign the lease and get the keys on Dec. 15.
Instead I got a complete and utter breakdown from him to the point he had to go to the doctor to get anxiety pills, of which now he refuses to take on a daily basis, fearing either his body will become immune to them and hafta take more.. or just getting addicted to them.
Both the realtor and his assistant contacted both us via email and phone on Dec. 9, but w/o a response from the boyfriend, I couldn't contact them back with info.
Anytime I bring up moving, ect.. he says he'll think about it. And he never comes up with a resolution.
At the point we're at now, we're going to be stuck paying for this apartment for another month. Our month-to-month rent is something like $1500.
I emailed the realtor on Dec. 12 asking if the house was still on the market, I never got a response back.
Now I'm having to poke at a house as old as me to see how bad its utilities are for its cost ($1200). Plus with the holidays, it makes for a few days of viewing and processing paperwork.
My patience is wearing into an unholy rage that may drive me back to Dallas to join my brother in hiding in my mom's upstairs bedrooms.
