Dr Who - Midnight
Somehow I missed seeing that episode last year so while I was cleaning up the hard disk on my Foxtel machine, I watched that episode.
I have to say that it was really obvious that this was a 'let's save a bit of money on sets and effects' episode, and also a 'let's show our fab acting chops in an ensemble piece' episode. Not complaining, since this meant there had to be more unfolding of characterisation. The narrative pace wasn't too bad, and the ending and coda were rather good.
It must have been a bugger to direct at points, not to mention a pain in the neck to edit, when there were multiple voices, tight shots and fast cuts, and keep the sound mixing clear.
