in red, inside my right wrist, with the swirly bits extended enough to encircle my wrist and latch together on the outside of my wrist. It's the more traditional take on Erzulie veve than my icon, and way more traditional than the spooky version with a skull inside it that I wanted for years but COULD NOT decide where to put on my body.

Hahah, on one hand, all this medical stuff has taught me how shallow my former life was. On the other hand, it's also taught me that so many of the little things matter, and true freedom may indeed be the ability to worry about stupid shit. Or, rather, metaneeds. Not stupid shit. :)

I think the lesson I am learning, and hope to spread around, is what regardless of what's going on, what you view as a problem matters, so you have to do your best to solve it by being the best version of yourself than you possibly can be. So know yourself and be good to other people. Somehow I feel like this life lesson is brought to me by Batman.
