I caught Toby's cold. I keep getting sick and it is STUPID. It is just a head cold, but it is making me sleepy and grumpy and blah blah blah the same.
We had snow Friday and now it is gone again. The tortoises are home from the cold room but it has been too cold overnight to let them stay out full time. I think we woke them up last year just in time for snow, too. Hopefully this week stays warmer.
I finished the golden animal costumes, bird fox and horse. I brought them in for a test fit and all seems good except for the wings -- I need to make the closures on them more secure, which I thought might happen. I have to make the briars next. I'm anxious to move on to other things.
Still no word from the principal, though I did attend the school budget meeting on Friday. I didn't have my questions answered, but I feel like I have a lot more information now. It is a frustrating situation all around. I think I'll write her again, some sort of response would be nice. I may also move to phase two of my plan, which is to reach out to other parents who have kids in the program...
We had friends over Saturday and talked more about opening an after school program. It is either the best idea ever or insane. Now we're talking about making it STEAM and Spanish integrated which would be amazing but probably totally beyond all of us? I dunno, dream big. We are all watching small programs fill to bursting overnight because the area is ripe for the picking. Of course, sometimes talking about the reality of these things makes you want to hide under your *other* dreams of just going full ARTIST and letting Mat finish his PhD.
I dunno.

This is great. Mat's got an appointment to finish his arm with Seth this summer. I need to figure out what I want next. Shoulders, I know that.
I commissioned a girl in Italy to make me a few knitted things for Kat doll and they arrived and I am so happy that now I can dress her up in sweaters and a hat and legwarmers before it gets too hot for that. I want to take pictures. My studio is a glitter mess.
Gideon has a grey and black striped knit hat that he loves and wears all the time and he left it at a parkour gym over the weekend. (Did you know those exist? It seems they do.) I need to call around and see if I can find it, it makes me sad that he lost it. I like hats.
**update! One text later and it is found! I love momma pals that know to grab lost hats.**
I need coffe and to dry my hair or put on *my* hat and go get Toby. I hope your Tuesday is passing quickly if it is as lame as mine seems to be.
