work in progress
I don't usually post work in progress shots, but I'm not sure why that is. I think the creative process is usually as exciting as the finished product, especially for a voyeur (like me). This, of course, is a bit of weekly photo cheating on my part, but it is rainy and dark and I'm having a root canal tomorrow, so I thought gloomy pictures of an almost-doll were fitting...
I sketch my calaveras before I begin, and I do paint the colored parts on the face before filling in the white. I think it might be a bit more difficult, but I like to give myself the option of leaving "holes" in the face up and I try to keep the paint as thin as possible to look a bit more like make up.
I should share the other sketches.
