I seem to be getting/already sick. Bleh. Chest feels heavy, throat is scratchy, got an irritating little cough. Been taking alkaseltzer/dayquil/whatever, sleeping lots, lots of fluids, etc. So I'll be okay, I'm just a little bit like "why is it only thursday morning??"
But, I did have a wonderful dream last night that I wanted to share.
I think my brain knew that I was sick, so parts of the dream involved me sleeping a lot - I was at this hotel with some friends (I don't remember who all was there, honestly, I think these were made-up friends) - it was this ginormous suite, with the front room being one long living room/lounge area, a kitchenette off the end with a breakfast bar, and then the back half of the room was a very big bedroom (seriously, there were like three king beds in it, lined up one by one).
I had been, in this dream, napping on the long couch in the front room. But either in between naps, or maybe while I was napping (and I was dreaming in the dream?) I kept seeing these really cool scenarios play out. I think part of it, at least, was actually role-playing with some of these friends I was with, but since it was a dream and we were all AWESOME at imagination, the stuff we were imagining seemed oh so real. And so we were playing at one point like we were out in space - a magical sort of space where you don't die quite so easily, I guess. But it was zero g and dark but sparkly like it was full of stars, and we were on this scavenger hunt or maybe we were space archaeologists putting clues together, because we'd float and bounce our way over to this or that manuscript or weird artifact and then grab it and try to maneuver it closer to an angle where there was some light to see it.
It was really, really cool.
Later, after our game, it was time for bed and it was (again) dark in the room, and I remember going back to the back bedroom, but got distracted along the way by these hand-sculpted clay figurines (which kindasorta resembled the characters from The Cave). After inspecting them thoroughly, by the time I got back to the room, everyone else had already zonked out - each king bed was taken up by a terrible bed-hogging friend type person. XD I was like, srsly guys? Except the one on the very far end, I might have been able to slip around to the other side and climb in, but the friend in this particular bed was a guy, and I get the feeling was a newish friend. I wasn't really sure how he'd take that, and besides, I couldn't remember who had agreed to share with me. So I ended up going back out to the front room and curling up in the super-comfy couch again for a while before my alarm woke me up for real.
So, that was fun. ^_^ Now I might go lay down again for a bit, or maybe just sit here and sip on some juice, since that seems to be helping.
