Concerning College

I'M GOING TO COLLEGE!!!!!!!!!!
But before I get to that, I'll let ya know how my two days went with my mom in the mom-mobile.
So, Thursday night we left almost immediatly after school and drove to Des Moines to see Drake. We got into Des Moines at...oh...I dunno. Prolly 7-ish. Right across the street from our hotel there was an Olive Garden and we went there for dinner @_@ ooooh-so-good! I can't wait until we get one here ^^ So after dinner we came back to the hotel and I zonked out once again to Billy Boyd singing "To the Edge of Night" ^___^
Got up on Friday morning at seven to more snow to drive through >.> So we got dressed and left early. Holy crap. I've never been so cold. It was like, -22 with the wind chill outside. So, we got to Drake, took the tour, froze our hienies, and then talked with my admissions counselor who informed me that I need to audition for the music school at Drake, which I can't really do, because I'd have to add another piece to my repritoire and have it, plus the Bach down by March 1st. Not gonna happen. So...things at Drake aren't looking good. (Dammit!!! They offered me $1500 a year for a legacy scholarship!!!)
After Drake we went to the Valley West mall where my messenger bag broke >.> So Mom and I searched for a new one, and I finally found one at a place called "Luggage and Gifts" ...or something like that o_O; Then we kind of walked around for a bit and found a really awesome store called Calypso. It had a ton of oriental decoroations. No furins though ::sigh:: I'm looking for a furin for my bedroom at the lake. But anyway, awesome store. Then we went to a clothing store and um...I think I'm going to cut this part because I'm going to be stupid and ramble about what Mom bought for me ^^;
I got a blue-jean jacket, which is really cute. I also got some green cargo pants. Ooooh-so-comfy! ^^ And they had a sale where you buy three pairs of panties and you get three free [so NOW you know why I cut this part...XD] so I have all of this underwear. And Nikki would be so proud. I got PINK underwear.
Shut up.
It was cute.

After that, we went and had lunch and then left Des Moines for Maryville, Missouri.
We got into town around 5 or so and after checking in to our hotel, we vegged and did nothing until like seven. Not like there was anything to do. Maryville is roughly the size of my high school. Okay, maybe a little bigger than 1200 people, but not by much. The biggest things there are the Kawasaki factory at the edge of town, Wal-Mart, and Northwest Missouri State. So yeah. Small. We had dinner at the Country Kitchen and then went back to the room, watched something on Cannibalism on the History Channel [... O_o;;; ...] and then went to bed [w00t for Billy Boyd!!! ...again... XD].
Got up at nine this morning, had breakfast, checked out, and went to Northwest. It wasn't nearly as cold in Maryville as it was in Des Moines. -2 as a matter of fact XD [that's warm? ... o_o ...] So the tour wasn't as bad. After the tour, Mom and I talked with the Admissions lady. Guess what she told me? ^^

I'VE BEEN ACCEPTED TO NORTHWEST MISSOURI STATE!!! W00T!!!!!
And I have a scholarship of $500 XD Oh well. Money is money is money. ^^
I'm thinking that Northwest is looking really good right now, especially since I don't have to audition for the music program there, I just have to retake my ACT and get a 21 to get into their education program. :3 I can manage that. Plus, they have a music sorority which looks very interesting. ^^ I'd like to check that out. :3

I've been itching to finish my story all weekend. I'm going to try to get it done now. I'm off! :3
