Busy, tired, hence bullet points:
- Got a promotion at work to assistant baker. It rocks! I heart the work, though it does mean bizarre-o hours. I sometimes have to go in at 3 a.m. I work from the wee hours to mid-morning and then come home and take care of Ry while Dyl is at work. It's tough, but we're figuring out how to get me more time to sleep and I love love LOVE baking!
- Ry's surgeries have been postponed because he tested positive for Factor 11 deficiency. It's a clotting deficiency that runs in my family. His is very mild (he has 60% clotting factor and normal is 75% and up), so the doc wants to wait to see if it improves with age. They'll re-test him again at 6 months and see if his levels have improved and then they'll do the surgery.
- Ry's going for an MRI next week because he has nystagmus, meaning his eyes dance back and forth. The opthalmologist is trying to find the cause of it. He has no obvious deformities of the eye or tumors, so it's either a retinal problem, a nerve problem, or immature muscles resulting in poor motor control. Hopefully it's the latter because he'll grow out of that.
