I actually dropped some parry/dodge gems in favor of flat out defense + stamina gems this morning before the restart (and my need to get ready for work), because I read that going beyond the tanking Defense cap is AOK, because you get better returns for the points. I noticed my dodge went up quite a bit (I had been running 20-21%Dodge and 17% Parry), while I did loose some on parry, it was only a smidge.

Prior to the patch I was running 25mans no problemo. Had healers whispering me during the raids how much they liked healing me. So hearing that last night from Talahra made me go D: !!! and I flipped somethings around gemwise(going off what I read on Defense). I thought I'd come close to the previous spec for Unholy tanking, but something must be off, and I am going to go look at what you posted and see what needs to be done.

As for holding aggro, I had that in the bag. Mira was gunning for lead on aggro (at my request) and she never went above 36%. So thats not a huge concern for me right now, unless making changes makes me loose aggro.

I had several "Uh oh" moments with one healer, but not with another, so it may be a matter of the healer trying to get used to the patch changes, as well.

Trust me, though. Grab Scourge Strike and Unholy Blight - those are important to an Unholy DK's rotation.

I have Unholy Blight. Not sure why it isn't showing on the Armory.

I've been staring back and forth between the cookiecutter unholy and Chiva's. If I were to use the cookie cutter I'd loose some mitigation due to loosing the magic suppression and antimagic zone which I use when up against the casty type mobs as part of the mitigation rotation. I am not seeing any major gains either in mitigation which was my problem last night. (Really hoping the gear changes will be enough.)

Actually the more I stare at things, I don't think the Armory has my build correct. There are things I am almost positive I took that aren't showing. Going to go poke the game and see if I messed up or if the Armory is just being stupid.

I wouldn't be surprisd re: Armoury, 'cause things tend to get really funky post-patch.
