55 Fiction- Distant Lands

Nov 09, 2009 19:21

This is something we're doing in Creative Writing this week, thought I'd start typing one and see what comes out. 55 Fiction started as a contest where the entries could only be 55 words or less, and there was a prize. My teacher wanted to try it with our class for a similar prize. He called it a form of "Flash Fiction."

"One, two, three." he counted the moons. He looked around the planet he stood on.

"Orange grass and no buildings to be seen for miles." he thought to himself. "There's only one place this could be," he paused, and sat down onto the soft orange grass in the light of the three orbiting moons.

"Home."
