So I just found out that an (we'll say ex) friend of mine got married and didn't invite me to the wedding. Everything in life changes, including what you thought you knew about people. And Tabi's got a good point, even if it does sound bad to say so. I've done that before, and as such I can say that it never was because all of a sudden I didn't like the people. There were even close friends in school that didn't get invited to wedding, although I suppose I hadn't been in contact with them as recently as you. Probably the best thing to do would be to consider the connection over, and chalk it up as a past friendship. For me, friendships that end are all I've known, excluding my stoner buddy Jesse. I grew up always moving, like you, I left my friends from high school behind, I always lose connection with coworkers no matter how close we become, etc. In a way I've even lost a little of the connection with my family. Maybe the trick is to find someone to do lots (and lots) of drugs with and have some strange times ( ... )
