(no subject)
I'm kind of torn. On the one hand, I want to feel happy for my friends who have hooked up, but on the other hand I'm thinking "But... What about Kitty?" All the happiness people are experiencing make my loneliness stand out all the more. That's me just being a silly emo kitty though. *sigh*
Update on Kitty v2.0: I have an interview on Monday! It's at a temp agency I sent a resume to for an Order Picker job, so it's a bit complicated, but if all goes how I want it to, I should be employed soon. That means money for renewing my cell phone, and playing World of Warcraft (Yeah, I'm playing and loving it). When I gets steady monies flowing in, my new goal will be to buy dinner for all of my friends, in small groups or individually. I'm behind on my unlisted turns for paying for stuffles. I know my friends and I don't keep track, but I haven't paid for anything in a long while. I needs to chip in.
On the less positive side though, my living arrangements are a little up in the air. The family (minus a Dave and plus a Fi) were supposed to move into a new house, but it didn't work out. So instead, we're being scattered to the four winds. I've got a month to stay here, but after that I either got to find a place to crash until I can rejoin with the family again when a new place is found, or finally strike out on my own. I don't see the latter happening, unless I can pull some major strings and convince some of my friends that it's about time they moved out too. It's doubtful that I'll be able to secure and maintain a house or apartment on my own with the cost of living so high these days. Nothing is set in stone, so we'll just have to see how things roll in the next little bit.
Also! LARPing starts in May, but I'm not sure where I'll end up being. NERO Aeon (my home chapter) and Epoch have both their events on the same weekends for May and July. I'm really not sure which I'll be going to.
I'm leaning towards Aeon, but there will likely be more "Drama Llama-ness" than I may want to deal with. I do however want to propagate the House of the Sword and Scale a bit more though, maybe do some recruitment from the newbies that are coming in. I really could see the House becoming a "young adventures" company, taking care of the little ones while the big guys go do their own thing. I've always wanted to see a group like that, to nurture new LARPers before they're comfortable and ready to go out on their own. Maybe if the rest of the House thinks it's a good idea, I'll push for that. On top of Scavenger's rights, and my little Bounty Hunting hobby. :P
Epoch will be a good season though and with Dagony presumably not such a prevalent force with the Confederates, the rest of the pack might be able to go from "raving band of murderers" to something like, say... "Good guys?"
Eh, who am I kidding here? We'll probably end up having out bittersweet revenge before the season is out. :P
But anyway, just a quick little update. I've tried being ranty, but I can never remember to write them down when I'm formulating good arguments in my head... Usually just before I'm ready to head off to bed. >.<
