Falling behind the pack.

So all of my friends are hitting 60 while I'm sitting at 46. I feel kind of left behind, but I'll get up there eventually. Maybe I just need to play more. :P

Anyway, I might be getting a job at a printer manufacturing company. My dad found the place and said that they need two new guys since a couple of the senior workers are going to be retiring soon. Hours are 6:30 am to 4 pm from Monday to Thursday, and 6:30 am to 1 pm on Fridays (So I'll still be able to LARP!). I'm probably looking at about $12/hour to start. That's about usual for a trade/warehouse job. I'll have to overhaul my sleep schedule, but I think it'll be worth it.

If you're up to date in the nerd community, you've probably heard that Gary Gygax passed away a few days ago. I had the pleasure of meeting the man once at a convention a few years ago. I didn't say much, but his co-creation of D&D in 1976 really shaped my path to nerd-dom. I probably wouldn't be LARPing, playing WoW or having long nights of roleplaying with my friends in respective basements. Long live the king.

Anyway, that's all folks. Tune in next time: Same Kat Time, Same Kat Channel!

No quote this entry; It's much to early.
