Miss Kitty
April 1, 1990 - July 3, 2008
I have had the honor and privilege of having an absolutely incredible life partner for most of my adult life. She was sweet, loving, affectionate, patient, fun, playful, talented and beautiful. She listened to me when I needed a friend, she loved on me when I cried, she survived five years of drawings and models in architecture school, she out-lasted more boyfriends than I can count, she sat on my desk for countless hours through eight years of dissertation work, she traveled cross-country with me over a dozen times and never once complained that I sang too loud or repeated a song one too many times.
Miss Kitty, my sweet little April Fool's baby, I am so happy to have had you in my life. I will miss the chipmunk and squirrel watching we shared, the sun baths and naps, the little wheat fluffs that we played with, the biscuits and sugar cookies we used to eat together, the yarn wars we had while you spent time under my loom, the late nights and early mornings when you were always there to greet me, but most of all, I will miss your soft fluff, your warm purr, and your sweet, sweet love. I know that your kind generous spirit will be with me all of my days. Enjoy this portion of your life's journey and know you will always be in my heart.
Merowr-Merowr & Purrrrrrrrr-Purrrrrrrrrrr
Yours Always,
Love,
- Mel
