FOR FINALLY GETTING YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ARSE!
I'm not being sarcastic, either. I have just made such a wonderful discovery that I just HAD to share!
It used to be that the Sorting field only worked in iTunes itself, and not on the iPod. On the iPod itself, where I play 99% of my music, I was stuck with the albums being sorted in alphabetical order unless I actually changed the name of the album to 1-McCartney, 2-RAM, 3-Wild Life, etc. or something like that.
But I just discovered that the new iPod/iTunes software has FINALLY made the damn sorting field apply on the iPod, so if I label the albums in order in Sorting, they actually come out that way on the lists in the iPod! FINALLY, my iPod can list the albums in chronological order without having altered album names.
YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW HAPPY THIS MAKES ME!!!
