wake up exhausted.
driving to work takes 1 1/2 hours due to construction. The return trip is just as bad, sometimes worse. Seriously if I wasn't wasting enough gas before... this is really topping things off.
This past week has been really emotional and exhausting. Deep thoughts. I've been getting just over 40 hours a week at work. Seems like I'm always watching other animals as well. I have a Love Bird here right now, watching it for a guy at work from Mon-Fri. Next week I gotta watch an orphaned Big Brown Bat for the week as well. PLUS drive to the house of these ladies that volunteer at my work and watch two of the Egyptian Fruit Bats. I gotta go there twice a day. I met the bats today, they are adorable and hung out on me for a bit. The house is huge and they have lots of acres cause they have horses. They are paying me, so that'll be nice.
Last weekend was sooo busy. Worked Fri, Sat, and Sunday. Friday after work I went to Tyson's going away party which was a good time. Saturday was the bat fest, over 700 people came, it went really well. Afterwards I went to Meghan's potluck which was a fun time as well. Stayed the night there, went to work in the morning. After work I drove down to meet an LJ friend for the first time!! youdiedatfive we met up near her friend's house in Mexican Town. yah! She rules. and lives in Toronto (Amanda, you need to meet her!). I couldn't hang out long though... Drove home.. woke up and drove to work Monday morning. Came home. and hung out with Tyson.
He left Michigan the next morning. It really bummed me out to say good bye. but I'm not going to get into that. I'm happy for him though, and I'm sure he's going to have a fantastic experience.
My next day off is Saturday. Friday I get out of work at 9pm and will then be driving up to the Huron National Forest that night after picking up the dogs and whoever else wants to go. I need this badly. I hope Fennel does well on her first camping trip. Unfortunately I have to come back on Sunday night.
basically I'm physically and emotionally exhausted and plan to ignore solve my problems by sleeping outside in the woods.
