Day 6: Anti-inflammatory Grape and Basil Smoothie
2 celery ribs
1 cup fresh or frozen grapes (green or red)
5 leaves fresh basil (or mint or parsley)
½ cup of water

Health Benefits
Inflammation is one of the root causes of many diseases. Arthritis, diabetes, heart disease and cancer all have an element of inflammation in their disease process. This smoothie will help to bring down any inflammation levels in your body which over time can help to prevent illness.

i had not yet used grapes in a smoothie - thought about it , but didn't do it.  they are actually rather nice.  this smoothie was rather refreshing.  i think the wateriness of the grapes combined well with the celery so the texture was a bit less robust than celery usually is in smoothies - that's a good thing, lol.  i had organic red seedless grapes.  they were plenty sweet and i love basil, as some of you no doubt recall from april's smoothie challenge, lol.  this was a lovely, light and refreshing smoothie that i will surely make again, especially as i have a ton of grapes left, lol, and i can freeze a bunch of them for future use.

and i finished editing the story that was on my to-do list for tonight.  i can't wait to be done with this stuff so i can move on to cleaning the apartment, lol, in preparation for luvsev's visit.  rarely do i yearn to clean, but today i really do.  today at work was kind of an irritating day - people on the phone are just so dense, which often seems to happen when mercury is in retrograde - definitely not surprising, but it made for rough going today.  hopefully tomorrow will be better and even if it isn't, at least it's thursday, lol.  i need to remember to go shopping after work tomorrow - i stopped tonight at the little market near my house and picked up a pear for tomorrow, but i have a feeling the next day is going to call for more ingredients i don't have.

editing, smoothie challenge
