Day 4: Deep Blue Green Smoothie
1 frozen banana
½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
2 leaves kale, stems removed
1-inch piece ginger root
1 tbsp of hemp or chia seeds
1-2 cups coconut water or water

Health Benefits:
Did you know that kale has more iron ounce for ounce than ground beef? Thats right! When you combine it with a rich source of Vitamin C like you find in our antioxidant rich blueberries you enable your body to absorb up to 30% more of that iron. Pretty cool, right?

well, you all know what i'm going to say, lol - you can't go wrong with blueberries & banana.  i have made variations on this smoothie a million times; it is one of my go-to smoothies.  i love ginger.  i only used a half a banana to reduce the sugar a little bit because my bananas are pretty big.  it was yummy and made me happy, lol.

in other news, i felt oddly happy and content going to work today.  perhaps it is because of the perspective shift from my joy jumpstart the other day, where the day job has been transformed into the laboratory where i experiment with ways to feel joyful even while i'm at work.  who knows.  also, i am taking tonight off from editing - i will resume tomorrow night.  i decided i need a break to tend to the apartment and myself a little bit.  if you saw either of us, you would concur.  ;)

just ran into this on fb and i needed to share it here.
