i just thought that was a tad bit funny.
I observed a lack of academic integrity in nursing school this week. We were given some difficult math problems dealing with osmolality, and I had trouble figuring some out. I had 2 cohorts offer me the anwers. Not teaching me how to do it= just the answers 5 minutes before the problem sets were due. I said, uh, no. This kind of shit, offering answers/cheating, can get you kicked out. Plus, I've never been one to cheat on anything, regardless of the consequences.
So, I picked up SightLife's company pager, and I'll be on call 24/7 until Monday to go with a recovery tech. I'm wishing for it to go off, but hopefully not at 3am.
I did very well on the genetics test yesterday. yay!
We did group presentations yesterday, on historical figures in nursing. We stood in the front of the class, speaking and showing a powerpoint presentation.Note to most class members: do not just read off said powerpoint slides. It is tedious to listen to and boring. It's a 5 min speech- is it too much to ask to memorize a little something and speak naturally? Also, if you use certain words, PLEASE know how to pronounce them. It's torture for my ears to have to listen to you rape the english language as we know it.
I was so freaking bored/disgusted I wanted to stab my eyes out with a fork, seriously.
