Wow this place is hilarious.
So, the other night, I went to Che's after teaching. My roomie had been there for five hours already, hahaha. She had met a girl, Miska. Czech girl, studying to be an english teacher. She totally rocks. Petr and Ales (say Alesh) are so awesome. Best bartenders ever! Petr a Ales jsoy njelepsh barman. That means that they are the best bartenders. They really like it when we say that to them...I think?
So anyways us 3 girls met 3 boys, 2 Italians (Mario and Fabio- I kid you not) and one Czech boy- Josef, aka Pepito. Between the 6 of us, we had five languages going on. I was using some spanish at the italians, joie was using some french on miska...and uh, it was crazy. If you wanted to get anything across to the italians, you needed to tell miska, who would translate our english to czech, for pepito, then pepito would translate the czech to italian. After a few hours of this, things get hairy.
We went to a lil dancin spot later on and the italians uh, really dominate that dancefloor. They like to swing you around in circles and do dips. It was pretty funny. You guys would have DIED. I wish you could all come see this crazyness. I've never tried to communicate at a table with 6 ppl and 5 languages. Yowza.
My students that I'm teaching right now...are so awesome. They are my favorite class. I introduced some new vocabulary via hangman tonight, they're all about that game. Next week I'm going to pit them against eachother and keep score. They're more advanced than my other 2a class so we have time for fun stuff.
I'm going to che's tonight, Ales, Petr, and Mikal are all working. I'm super excited for that. They like to undercharge by hundreds of crowns- or at least they did the other night. Woot.
