I've got soul but I'm not a soldier...

So it's been a crazy week. I can't believe I have my own apartment now. It still feels extremely surreal. Liz and I have almost finished decorating and organizing it. Our living room/my bedroom is all in tans and off-whites and blues, our kitchen will probably reflect our similar tastes in theatre/movies, and the bathroom has this woodsy feel to it. I love my house. I love coming home to someone who is happy to see me (Tim, not Liz...I actually haven't come home to her being home before I am). I LOVE having completely peaceful moments where I can listen to the rain fall against my windows and not have to also hear my family running amuck above me.

Last night I did somethings I haven't done in a long time. It was a really trying day, and I just wanted to relax. So I did. I took a bubble bath, a real one, for the first time in years, and I just let the hot water soak into my skin. I was able to read four chapters of Sabriel.  I meditated for about an hour until Liz came home, and we had a nice cup of tea and conversation before we went to bed. Tim came upstairs around 11 just to kiss me goodnight; he didn't care that I wanted to spend my night alone and relaxing.

I have to hang up my pictures and what not, but if anyone reading this would like to stop by in the near future, let me know. I'll be in Montreal for Labor Day weekend, but anytime before or after that is good for me. Toby (Liz's cat) is coming home this weekend. I haven't had a pet in so long. It excites me.

It's been an amazing week between Tim and me, too. I don't remember the last time we had as much fun together as a couple. He makes me laugh so hard sometimes, and I know if I ever needed someone, he'd pass up everything instantly to help me. He's been such a great help with the move; he's gone out of his way to pick up my furniture and all the heavy boxes I can't quite yet carry with my shoulder. He even completely rebuilt my computer for me, giving me new parts and installing Linux on my computer so it will run faster than it would have with Windows.

I think I'm going to try to go back to writing one or two entries a day, though I'd rather have them about philosophical ideas than just rambling nonsense.

Oh, and I'll definately put up pictures of the new apartment as soon as I get my wireless card and internet returns to my home life :)
