I've been doing a lot of painting lately and I am really pleased with how much progress I've made. At first you could tell what I was supposed to be painting but they didn't look at all realistic, they didn't have any depth and and I was getting really frustrated because I couldn't make them look the way I wanted. Then my grandparents gave me a bunch of painting books (they used to paint a lot) and I started watching reruns of the joy of painting. Yes, Bob Ross may be seriously laid back and really into his happy little trees, but the man knew how to paint. Even more importantly, he knew how to show other people how to paint. That has made such a difference. Now I don't spend most of my painting time annoyed because I can't get things to look right.
This is my favorite one so far. I have been painting so much that last time my parents were in town Daddy and I build a drying rack so that my entire place isn't covered in paintings waiting to dry.
