I don't suppose that was too bad for a curse. Actually, I can't remember much - maybe I'm repressing? But I do recall running around like nobody's business, and demanding peanuts. And possibly singing songs, although that might just be a hazy recollection from the last time I was drunk ( Read more... )

I could do with that joke right now.

Really now? I could tell the joke, of course, but a key part of comedy is the atmosphere and you seem... what's on your mind?

Still, if you'd like, I'd be very happy to go ahead and spread mirth anyway.

If I say things, will you just accept it? Because there are lots of things on my mind. Lots.

I'm a very good listener - and not solely because I have big ears. Say whatever you need to say. Even if there's lots of it.

I said some silly things yesterday, but that's done nothing more than give me this headache... Of which Lee isn't helping with, but it's Lee, so I can't hold it against him. Neji's brooding, and then there's... that thing. That I'm sure you know about.

Things, in short.

Everyone said some pretty silly things yesterday, don't worry about it. I mean, I was singing nursery rhymes about cows jumping over the moon and eggs falling off walls and other such drug-trip-like things. Maybe you should settle down with a cup of tea, or something? I find that usually helps when Nathaniel people aren't helping.

And then... ah. Yes. That thing. Is there anything we can do about that... that thing?

I managed to coerce Lee into going to the beach with me, and Sanji's made me my favourite dango, so hopefully that won't be too bad.

I... nn. My head isn't into thinking, today. But I've started asking around, so we'll see how that goes.

There, see? It'll be more than not-too-bad, it'll be brilliant, and you'll have an amazing time. As long as you don't get sand in your food.

I've been thinking too, though my head is never really into that. I had thought that maybe... I mean, as it's his memories he's lost, that maybe Dorian could somehow... but no, never mind, ignore me. Not now, you're right. But we'll try and work something out later.

I don't want to go to Dorian unless I have too. Her prices are too high to just waltz in.

The deities are my first contact point... They've been forthcoming with information before, at the very least they should have osme hints.

...But for now I'll enjoy Lee's company.

Exactly. Far too high. And there's no point getting some memories back at the expense of others. Besides, I'm terrible at all forms of dancing, especially the waltz.

Hints are all I was ever able to get from them, though, to be honest, I think you were probably a little more patient and polite to them than me. I called them all prats, I seem to recall. That's why you're the clever one around here.

Yes, a very good idea. And I'm sure he'll enjoy your company just as much in return.

I'm not worried about memories. I'm more worried about skills. And I've really stopped to consider it... but I suppose ninja's are pretty good dancers. We need to be fast on our feet~

No... When I spoke to King we dropped all pretenses. He told me what I wanted to hear though. I suppose it's the curse of being a plain looking kunochi? No one stops to think that they might be telling me something I could use.

As he'd better~

That's a good point. I have less in the way of skills to lose, especially when it comes to dancing. I'm sure you'd be a regular whirling dervish on the dancefloor, but I'd fall flat on my backside (if I was lucky, as opposed to my face).

That was very nice of him, then. And you're not plain looking at all, you know.

Mm. I kind of need what I can do. Got to hold onto my title and all~

Yeah... I guess.

A title very fairly won, and one you'll have no trouble defending if you keep it up like you are now.

Yeah. I know these things, no guesswork allowed. Trust me on this.

Up until some idiot insists your finishing move be done by hand. I suppose I should have seen it coming...

I was always terrible at hand-to-hand, myself. I'd be far more likely to break my hand rather than anyone else's face.

That's what teams are for, right?
