Before the 25th we had to endure almost two weeks of solid curses, no rest, no respite, nothing. Nobody was sure what it was about. People started thinking it was going to amount to something big.

But we had all this build-up and then... nothing. Christmas Day was a normal one, a holiday from curses as well as everything else. And still there's nothing. Not a word, not a warning, not even a thinly concealed threat as per the norm.

Then there's this graveyard. I don't think the deities would create something for nothing, and traditionally graveyards do have something of a connation with death. Which really isn't in keeping with the spirit of the season, let me tell you. And they don't have names. But does that mean... there'll be names on them soon? We can't die here. We can't, unless the change the rules... but they can't do that, can they?

On top of that there's that creature going around and judging people again. I remember when I was still new here it killed and... it was horrible. Of course, I doubt this has anything to do with the deities. Just its very own special brand madness. But it can't be good that it seems to be stepping up activity either.

If I were feeling metaphorical and slightly morbid I'd say this was the calm before the storm. I think... I'm sure something's coming. And I want to prepare, but I've no idea what it's going to be, let alone what I can do about it. It's the most frustrating thing in the world not being able to do anything to help. I just wish they'd hurry up and get on with it so that we could stop it. Sitting around waiting isn't just pointless, it's bloody boring.

worried, graveyard, the city, new year
