Some people shouldn't be parents

I've come to realize that my generation has raised a bunch of idiots. Because my gen was basically the first where both parents worked, and a lot of our kids were raised by grandparents or child care, our kids have no idea how to be PARENTS.Parenting isn't just "having a baby". It makes you a mother or father, but not a parent. A parent needs to be there to teach, and guide, and help their children become the best adults they can become, and hopefully, set a good example for their children. What got me on this rant? A three year old died yesterday for no good reason. This "parent" (I use the term loosely) had her three year old on her lap while she cut the grass on a riding lawn mower. The lawn mower tipped, and the baby was crushed to death. What was this mother thinking?? Why would you EVER put an infant on a motorized anything?? And I see it all the time. Doesn't anyone consider consequences anymore? And today, despite the ecoli in the spinach, another mother put spinach leaves on her child's sandwich. Child dead. Are todays parents too overworked and too much overachievers that even though they think they can do it all to have it all, that it just isn't possible? If having a baby is just about "having a baby cause all my friends do" then please realize this is the wrong reason. Parents today need to put children FIRST and forget about the materialistic for a while. Having it all, isn't as important as having what's best for your child. God, I want to shake these mother's.
