Well, despite the insanity of preparing for this show , it was quite fun!
I have not DJ'd in about 7 years!
I think the last time was for a Dandy Warhols video release party 7-8 years ago.
This radio show wasn't really DJ'ing ,as it was all digital- very foreign to me ...
but I have alway's loved creating musical themes.
Of course there were many songs I intended to play , but the technical confusion blurred my thinking .
Anyway , here is sort of a playlist and some pics from the webcam .
And while I am her I may add that I will be back on again Sunday Feb 17(?) at 10:00 am PST - don't know HOW this will happen, since I am INCAPABLE of forming a sentence before noon....but this time will be featuring music from that late 19th century pertinent to Cabaret .
The show is called Beatnik Beach ,and the Host wants to connect the dot's of the origins of Cabaret which birthed the Bohemian/Beatnik scene later.
Prince Poppycock will also be singing live.
Maybe seems off kilter , but in the larger picture, makes pretty good sense.
Playlist goes SOMETHING like this .
