Overview
Dear Sister is about two sisters who come together after several years apart. The older sister Hazuki (Matsushita Nao) is straight-laced and hard-working and feels that the source of all the problems in her life have stemmed from her spoiled younger sister Misaki (Ishihara Satomi). I feel like this drama is really relatable no matter which side of the sibling rivalry you land on.
Closer Look
This drama makes good use of soft light and sound that gives it an overall fluffy feeling. I think it is very fitting to the drama and makes for a pleasant watch. The two theme songs are also a good fit. Misaki is on a mission to enact her secret agenda and the pace that the story progresses at a pretty good pace.
And in the end, everything turns out how it should be in a touching turn of events. It makes all the drama leading up to it worth the wait.
Bottom Line
Definitely one of the better dramas from this season, the actors are all solid and the story is pretty good. I’d probably watch it again someday.
