Today as I was sitting in the dentist's chair, I realized just how much of my life is wasted in doctors' offices and the like. It's absurd how many hours one spends sitting in waiting rooms and simply waiting for other people. I know society could never run without appointments and waiting, but sometimes I just want to go my own way, wherever and whenever I want. If I could just wake up in the morning and simply drive - pick a direction and drive. See what I find, who I meet, and where I end up. Now, what's to stop me from doing that? Oh, that's right. Everything - money, school, family, work, etc.
There are those days though, when the sky is blue, and the big puffy white clouds are soaring, that you just have to take a drive - anywhere. Roll the windows down and just chill. Play your music as loud as it will go, and not worry about bothering anyone, or any of your obligations, or anything but the wind in your hair and the road ahead of you.
