Amusing turn of events.
The date auction turned out to be something of a spectator sport. I lost a bid, but am rather satisfied with the one I acquired. We shall have to make arrangements for that.
As for the one I lost, a pity. Arrangements should also be made for a face-to-face encounter somewhere down the line. We're long overdue for a chat, old friend.
Putting my social life aside, work is going rather well. Many students in the area have taken an interest to fencing and seem much more serious about it than New Yorkers or others from a largely urban area. Very interesting.
