Comment to this post, and I will list five things I associate with you. They might make sense or they might be random. Then post that list, with your commentary, to your LJ.

Writing

I have kind of a.. difficult relationship with my writing, lol. I really love it, but at the same time I get in cycles where I'm way too critical of myself and locked in self-doubt to just let it happen. I haven't actually typed anything in months, though I have been writing off and on. Writing on paper feels less "real" somehow, for a couple reasons. First, there's no potential audience, because anyone who reads my stuff does it online, and no one but me can decipher my handwriting, lol. (I'm pretty sure if the downward trend in its readability continues I'll be writing in nothing but squiggles by 2013 ). I also haven't been re-reading it like I do with my typed stuff. However, for as little actual writing as I've been doing, I'm constantly thinking about it. I always have a couple storylines, scenes, or characters on the brain, and I've really been pleased by the developments I've made with them over the years. So idk. I need to get over my hangups and start really writing again. :c

It's not all bad news on the subject, though. I found out during my last semester at school that for as much as I hate it during the process, I'm really proud of my academic writing. I don't think I'm ever going to sit and write an essay for fun, but I can still look back and feel accomplished when I think of them. c:

Tales of Symphonia

I love this game so much. So. much. It's one that I can just replay over and over and not get bored, even though I know every bit of the storyline, subplots, and sidequests pretty much by heart. The battle system is a ton of fun, and the plot is great because it's this perfect mix of the standard "a bunch of teens/young adults save the world" fare with a bunch of self-aware humor and some genuinely surprising bits. My favorite part is definitely the cast, though, and especially their voice actors. I can't think of another game where I've gotten so attached to the characters (well, except Regal. Regal you are gross, get out). ... Man writing this really makes me want to play it, Artemis hvdu eat my gamecube cord :c

(in conclusion, Zelloyd forever
)

Sailor Moon

I remember getting up to watch this before school when I was little, and anything that can get me out of bed early has to be something I really love. ♥ One of the things that's great about re-watching it as an adult is catching the sneaky little bits of humor in pretty much every ep that make me lol c': I think to this day it stands out as a really great example of awesome superheroines.

My favorite season is the second half of R. I am a sucker for time travel, cute bbs and reformed villains, so that whole arc is like a present with a big pink bow, to me from Japan. 8)

The Little Mermaid

This is my go-to movie when I'm feeling down, lonely, bored, or, sort of weirdly, when I have to pack to move. (It helps lessen that HELP I'M MOVING, THIS IS THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER ENDURED feeling.) It's gotten a something of a bad rap, and I'm not going to argue that all of the criticism of it is invalid. Still, I think Ariel is a well-rounded character--she's impulsive and rash, but also driven, determined and caring. Her relationship with her father always tugs on my heartstrings, too, ngl. I have a complicated relationship with my father (who doesn't, lol), so the ending always makes me tear up a bit :'c and of course the greatness of Ursula pretty much goes without saying. Poor Unfortunate Souls is forever my favorite villain song ♥

(okay and as long as we're in the No Judgement Zone here: I know a lot of people find him bland and/or jerky, but I like Eric. mostly b/c he loves his dog Max so much. IT'S CUTE OKAY. LEAVE ME ALONE.)

Baking

I am such a baking fanatic! I think I love to cook/bake so much because it feels so productive (I turned this flour'n'shit into bread, I am a wizard), and it's so nice to share with people. I actually haven't been able to do much of either lately because the kitchen in my place right now is so terrible :c but it's my favorite hobby. I follow tons of food blogs and I love to experiment~ I think my favorite cooking experience so far was putting on a Thanksgiving dinner for pengueehime ♥ we had a limited amount of time b/c the buses were going to stop running, so I starred in my own personal ep of Iron Chef. ...and then I had all the leftovers to myself the next day. Yeaaaaaahhh 8)

It's my dream to own my own place with a garden someday, and forever have friends over c:

That was fun! If anyone wants a prompt from me just ask :3
