hello darlins,

we're shooting in calcutta now
and i must say, it's a beautifully
perplexing place...
it is hotter here, hotter than i've ever been
even in louisana...it's a different kind of hot
the kind where you feel like you're breathin'
water because it's that humid
the kind of hot where you
take cold showers every hour and sit
in front of a fan, while wet, to keep cool

the color palatte here amazes my very own eyes
pinks and oranges and reds so bright, so rich
i could not have dreamed a more brillant color
my costumes are silk and there's nothin more
luxurious then sliding into a silk gown when
it's this hot out...paisley forever haunts me

i will return to the states shortly, in about a week or so
