I really hate when folks I know bring up elementary/middle school. I hated being a kid, I hated going to those schools, and I hate it when people want to "reminisce" about the most awkward, painful, and miserable time in my life. Yes, my current BF went to school and was in the same classes. He had the benefit of not being of an ungainly size and unfortunate level of puberty, however, and it wasn't five years of daily taunting and bullying for him.
And I'd whine about this on Facebook, but both guilty parties are on there. :P So you get my emo moping here, where they won't see it and then start another round of talking about it under guise of apologizing or something.
Also, I've been sick as a dog for a while now, and it's never the same thing. I think my immune system just gave up on me this year. A very bad stomach flu most of last week, and all of this week has been the sinus problems from hell (seriously, I can't sleep either because I can't breathe or because I can't stop coughing, which in turn makes my health worse because I can't rest. I will NOT be surprised if in another week I'm still hacking and coughing and diagnosed with bronchitis or walking pneumonia or something. This shit is getting OLD.)
In other news, work is mind-numbingly dull this week with spreadsheet forensics and I have a haircut scheduled for the first time since early September so I'll look less like a drowning mongrel the way my hair hangs now. I also screwed up the math last payday and if I write the checks due for March they'll bounce. Damnit. Guess I better get the rest of my BPAL sales on eBay pronto. >.< (I hate eBay as a seller, and Paypal isn't much better, skimming fees off the top of everything.)
And on another unrelated note, if you ever want to buy a Subaru, do NOT use Frank's Subaru in Irvine/Lake Forest. I now have a BBB complaint filed against them AND I'm in contact with corporate. I will not be scammed the way Honda screwed me over the last time I let a dealership touch my car, and this time I have a lot more backbone than five+ years ago. I will fight this straight to the top until it is resolved. (And my resolution is such a simple one, too - I want a written, sincere letter of apology, hand-signed. The "we're sorry you're upset" I've been getting when a live person actually answers the phone does not count. For the cost of a postage stamp and a few minutes of the manager's time, I will give up using every avenue available to me to lodge my complaints (next week is Angie's List, OC City Search, Yelp, etc if I don't get a response before then) - it's that simple.
