Missing Kyro!!
Hi everyone!!
This is REALLY random of me, but I couldn't hold it in lol.
I MISS KYRO!!!!
I miss the entire fandom, really! It was at its height in 2006 because X-Men: The Last Stand had just been released and BAM, Kyro came to life! I miss how active this community used to be. All the fics, and the icons, and the manips etc. It was so fun, Kyro was my OTP! :D
Of course, inevitably, interest dwindles, people move onto other ships and fandoms, and the community practically becomes dormant. And this made me sad! Anyone else feel this way? Do you miss it as much as me?!
Another reason I'm posting this is because I'm in the process of writing some Kyro fanfic. Yes... your eyes do not deceive you! XD I have been inspired after watching X-Men: First Class, and also reading the X-Men novelisations of the films. There's a lot more detail to Pyro's character than what we see on-screen. Thanks Chris Claremont! He also mentions Kitty a lot more (in X2, which is what I'm reading) and a few little plot bunnies have made their way to the surface :)
I'm excited about writing again. I have not written Kyro fic in a long, long, long time. I may be rusty but I'm dedicated!!!
I also feel like making Pyro and Kyro icons. I just feel like being involved in the fandom again. I may even decide to remake their fanlisting but we'll see.
So yes, I just wanted to share that with you guys :D
