Lots of good little tidbits, very random, but still v. good!
#1 - DM & shadowhawck are coming over tonight to have a very tasty dessert and watch the hockey game (lord help us)!!! And Ray's probably going to show off his new Voltron DVDs, along with his new...get this, Brisco County Jr. DVDs and his Sega Genesis & Master System with games!! Some guy in Grimsby was selling his system and his games dirt cheap (games were $1)!! So buddy had them delivered by Taxi!!! Dude! Oh what else, oh yeah, all our Munchkin games for hours and nights of fun with Chez Geek et al, and Munchkin et al!! OH OH...and Toys R Us was having a sale on the 'Angel' boxed sets...so he picked up seasons 4 & 5 for me, which meeeeeeeeeeeeans...we get to watch 'Smile Time'...the one where ANGEL IS TURNED INTO A PUPPET!!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee I've been waiting to see that ep for ever!!! *squees happily*
#2 - Last night when my mom & dad picked me up from work, they told me that they're going to be staying in the same hotel that Ray & I will be staying at when we go to the con this year. What we didn't know was that for the guests at the hotel, there are on-call chaufeurred ...get this...Cadillacs and ROLLS ROYCES...FREE FOR THE GUESTS!! OMG!!! We can arrive at the dork convention in style! Damn that's cool, I love that! Oh, and we're going to be extending our stay one more night cause the next day is Labour Day and both of us don't have to work so...why not. And we don't want to have to lug our stuff around from checkout till 6pm at the convention. No, would not be good!
#3 - There's a club down the street from where I work and I was walking by there yesterday and a poster caught my eye. Friday night (at least I think it's Friday night, I have to double check)...they're having a local band play before....omg...MOBILE (eee) and and and....STABILO!!! I looooooooooove Stabilo! And I haven't been to a club and/or concert in such a long time! I really want to do this and seeing as tickets are only $12 it's a frickin steal! The only drawback is, it's an all-ages event, which means little skanks are gonna be there and as well as skeevy guys....which is why Ray wants to go. So I told him if he doesn't want to go, I'll see if Amanda & Lisa want to go with me. So that'll be fun!!! I'm so going!
So, those three things are mighty cool! Also, there were updates to the Sci-Fi guests...but I still can't be arsed to update them on my 'Nerd Alert' post so; some guy from 'Stargate Atlantis' is coming and Verne Troyer 'Mini Me' is coming....who, I don't know about you guys but, creeps me out biiiiiiiiiiiiiiig time! Bleh! *shakes head* I also have to e-mail hobbystar to see if meeting Billy will require a seperate ticket. I mean, Lijah Did, why not Billy? And it's not listed, the only special tickets you need so far is if you want to meet Shatner & Nimoy and Alice Cooper. It didn't say anything about Billy. But I'm so amped it's not even funny! I was looking at New Zealand Greenstone pendants yesterday contemplating ordering one and making something for Billy. Greenstone though is basically Nephrite. And I'm not cheap, really, but I can't really feasably be spending $50 on a pendant alone. So I may just fashion something really nice from what I can find from here...that way he'll have something Canadian. Orli already gave him a greenstone pendant when they were in New Zealand. :)
OK, so, I'm a bit of a motormouth this morning yes. But I'm excited for tonight; the guests, dessert, the game, 'Smile Time', looking at cards and games and whole bunches of fun!
