GO CYBORG!
OMG this Australian Open has taken over our house. Ray was up till 5:30am today watching le Tennis. Though I'm really enjoying it too - I love when Roger Federer dangles a win in some of these other guys faces (who really should win actually, they have mad skills) but still manages to just squash them at the last minute. The man's not human! Really!
This will just be a random posting of stuff I've been thinking of lately. I want to go back up to Kitchener to visit with our friends! Badly! So badly that I dreamt we did go up and we saw all of them and had such a fun time, like we always do of course. I'm going to see how much cash I get for my birthday and maybe go up for the weekend... I'll have to warn them ;)
And I've been listening to my iPod a lot lately and a few songs have been sticking in my head. I was talking with sparkysparky a couple weeks ago and I had an idea for a fan video - Now, if only I had the skillz to make a fan video! I have so many DVDs I could make all the ones I want to! I just don't know how to get the scenes off my DVD and edit them together with the music! There's windows movie maker I know... but these would be special, below is a list (and links to the songs if I can find them) of what I'd like to do:
1. A tribute to Seth Cohen from the O.C. (Adam Brody) and all the lovely goofy scenes that made me love him, and I would set it to We Used to be Friends by the Dandy Warhols (watch the video... I was laughing so hard).
2. A little homage to the pitiful asshole that is Soames Forsyte from The Forsyte Saga just because I love how Damian Lewis played him... he was a fucking jerk, but you were still able to feel sorry for him. For that video I'd use Flawed Design by Stabilo, cause dayum, it fits so bad!
3. And last but gods... not least, I want to do a tribute to Simon & Kaylee from Firefly & Serenity and River... who kept them apart in some way. But I found the most perfect song and it fits the feeling of being in space with all the echoes and the bits where River had to take precedence, it's more from Simon's point of view but guh.... the song is 'Lookin' Out' by Mobile... and you can hear the song by clicking *Here* and selecting Lookin' Out on the MP3 Player.
So that's my ambition for fan vids, I think I'd have a few more if I knew how to make them, like a Steve Zissou vid done to David Bowie's 'Life on Mars'.
