Oh my god but American Choppers was cool last night! They made a 'Caddyshack' bike to be auctioned off at the Murray Bros. Caddyshack restaurant tournament. The money was going to a mobile hospital unit. OMG this bike was cool! It was all distressed because the thing was, it was supposed to be Carl Spackler's (Bill's character) bike. So they wanted to make it look like a greenskeeper's motorbike. It had a garden sprayer mirror, garden shears on the frame, a bent pitchfork at the back fender, they painted the handlebars like garden hoses, the wheels had lawnmower blades rotating like hubcaps, a water spicket gas cap, an air-filter cover painted with the gopher in the crosshairs, a battery box painted like a detonation box, what else...god, they put so much on that bike it was insane.
Before they unveiled the bike though the Tuttle brothers went golfing with the Murray brothers! That was so funny! How cool would it be to go golfing with Bill Murray?? Hmmm?? I'd love to do that!! Anyway, during the game, he put on Carl's voice and said 'This's a par 5, we're gonna haveta rip it'. I never laughed so hard all week!!!
So, Bill hadn't seen the bike till they drove it in and he just took his time looking at it, he looked like a kid in a candy store, he loved it. And when they started the auction it got up to $80,000...that was Bill's bid and he was against one other guy. I had told Ray even before the episode started; 'Watch Bill buys it'. And he did!!! He bought the Caddyshack bike for $150,000!!! lol He was play-yelling at Paul Jr. "Don't touch my bike!!!" lol
Best episode ever!!
And the only thing that could possibly be as funny as that, is another sketch from Robot Chicken! If you watched Cartoons in the 80's, this one's for you! Enjoy Skeletor & friends carpooling!!
