Okay peoples, today's the day I leave for Fan Expo 2006! I'm excited!! I'm a total nerd and I'm excited!! And yes, Billy did cancel...and I'd be a total mess right now if he was still going, but still, my tummy's all grumbly from getting to go out of town and away and have fun on this long weekend :)
I phoned the hotel last night too to get some things cleared up and there IS a walkway from Union Station to the Hotel so that's good, it'll be underground and a straight walk, no traffic lights or anything. That's if I choose to do that, I may just be pooped enough (after 5 deals closing today ...yeah!) to get Ray to hail a cab for me. We've got quite a long trip and it doesn't seem like it, but it is. A lot of driving, getting out, waiting for trains, lugging everything on and off the trains and then over to the hotel for late check-in. Plus, after that, we need to walk over to the 24 hour grocery store (another question answered!) to get some things for the room; cereal, oatmeal, fruits, snacks, microwavable dinners...etc. so we don't have to go nuts going out to dinner in Toronto. As glamorous as that may sound, it's bloody expensive.
Also, another question I had asked was in regards to the car service. Dad had told me they either have a Cadillac or a Rolls Royce available as a complimentary car service...well, it's better than that, it's a Cadillac LIMOUSINE!! Dudes, we're going to nerdfest in a limo!!! I can just see it...
"Oh, who's that getting out of the limo? get your camera and...oh, they're nobody." LMFAO!
But still, having a car ready for us to drive us to the con is very nice, considering it's supposed to rain all weekend courtesy of Tropical Storm Ernesto. That's okay, we'll be inside :) and there's umbrellas so, no biggie, it's just rain :)
Last night was spent typing up an itinerary for Ray and I...because there were just too many pages in the different schedules for the different events for us to follow coherently, so I took all the crap we wanted to see, highlighted it and typed everything out for each day in chronological order. NOW I'm a nerd! lol
Sunday is totally packed, Ray wants to hang out with James Callis (Dr. Baltar from Battlestar Galactica) so, I had my James last year, he gets this James! ;) I'm not quite fond of the anime portion this year though; gone are the days of Utena and Escaflowne, now it's not even Inu Yasha or Anything, it's all 'Naruto' and 'Fullmetal Alchemist'..hmmm, the only thing I really want to see in the anime section this year, is the 'Anime Music Video Contest'..that's always good!
But hopefully we won't be in any huge lines this year, last year Saturday pretty much consisted of waiting in long lines with strangers, but that meant you made some new friends. I have to keep a lookout on Sunday too, cause my uncle and my cousin are going to Meet Nimoy and 'The Shat' XD
So...barring any unforseen circumstances, this weekend should be pretty good, and I'll have muchos amounts of pictures :D AND if you're in the Toronto area and want to get together lovely f-list...just leave a message here and I'll e-mail you to work something out. :)
Now...onto the workday. It's a good thing it's busy today, it'll make the day go faster so I can leeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeave!!! *hugs & squees*
