Well, that wasn't at all pleasant. But at least it's over now! I'm doing much better, and I'm glad to see everyone else is too ( Read more... )

Why does everyone seem so worried over these mirrors?

Because, dear Ralphie, they are not a very good thing. There is another world beyond this one, with mirror doubles of everyone here. The last time they came out to...play, was a bit traumatic, so we'd prefer they stay where they belong. But that large mirror wasn't always there, and the mirrors were never so strong they couldn't break. It's not really pointing in our favor, you see.

In this world, through those mirrors, is another world, where there are doppelgangers of every person here. There's probably one of you too, by now. They're mirror opposites in personality of the people they resemble, and generally aren't very good news.

....That is... Unsettling, to say the least.

What have they done in the past?

Mm, just a bit, isn't it, Ralphie?

As for what happened before...a while ago, a number of them switched places with the people they resemble, and caused...a lot of trouble, needless to say.

So they're quite capable to leaving the realm behind the mirror...Is there no possible way to block the mirrors or even the copies themselves?

It doesn't seem to be something they can do easily though, otherwise I'm fairly certain they would be here whenever they wanted. But usually, the method to break the link between the two places is to break the mirrors, which is why the fact that the mirrors have become unbreakable is a bit unsettling.
