...Hm. Another unannounced event. This is two in a row now that we've had no warning for? That's not too good, is it? I suppose, really, there could have been...worse things. We've been fortunate, as a whole, that more dangerous things haven't happened

More importantly, what does their not being annouced mean? Could this place be losing its power...or is it something far more diabolic?

It was never direct. There would be a riddle, that had something to do with the event.

It's not losing it's power. But I don't know exactly what the events not being announced means. It certainly doesn't bode well though.
