Hello

Well I am back to work; actually I have been working for almost a month now. Yesterday, though, was when all the teachers came back and the students and the complaints of their parents and morning traffic and setting my alarm clock for six o'clock each morning and the endless "Hellos" and "How was your summer?" chit-chat. Looks like it is going to be another busy year at Glen Cove. I did not want to go back to work or do I want go back to school...sigh...such is life.

On to better subjects. The rain that we were getting last week was great; I absolutely loved it. My grass is so green, on the down side, so is the pool. Speaking about the pool, the other night, after one of the rainy afternoons, at around ten o'clock at night, there were two people swimming in the peanut shaped pool. One of them was Jon and the other
was I. Jon pushed me in first. It was like a shock to my body when he threw me in because the water was so cold. But I pretended that I was not as cold as it felt when you touch it with your feet and in minuets he jumped in too. He was freezing cold. By this time I had gotten use to the water and I was laughing at him. I could not believe he was so cold.

My summer went better that I expected. I huge out a lot with Jon. I grew my own radishes, mesclun, cucumbers, zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, cilantro and spinach. I tried growing peas but I failed. Next year I want to grow honeydew, red cabbage, broccoli, and swiss chard. I like my little garden. It is so cute. I even tried to make my own compost pile but I lost my motivation. I also saw a lot of good movies. I did not read so much as I did last summer. I also went out of town: twice to Albuquerque, once to Santa Fe, Dallas and Ruidoso.
