Everything comes down to knitting and/or clothes

So Pembroke's accounting department apparently has what has been described as a "banquet" next Tuesday to trawl for students interested in the field. My school's single solitary accounting professor was invited, and can bring up to five students with him. I need to sign up by tomorrow, but I can't decide if I want to. I probably won't transfer to Pembroke, but it couldn't hurt to be in contact with them so I have the option. The big problem, for me, is the word "banquet." Eating + formality + strangers = EEK! I'm going to see what Mom thinks this evening.

If I do end up going, i'm going to need to put my keys and phone in something that isn't beat up and twice the size of my head, so I guess I'll be knitting a purse in the next week. I'm currently trying to decide between On the Moon (which is supposed to be for keeping tampons in, yes, but a phone isn't that different sizewise) and Square Cake. I'm also not sure if I should make it black or white. I'll probably be wearing mostly-grey, so it could really go either way. (Unless I go for that blue-and-white seersucker suit. Gah, I should have left one of those things at home so I wouldn't have to decide. On one hand, long sleeves. On the other hand, the tank top shell I got to wear with it is a little cleavage-showy, and I'd rather not wear it backwards again.)
