Alfie here. Well! There is this teeny tiny itsy bitsy little girl cat living here with us now. She says she is a regular grown up cat, but she's no bigger than a kitten. I don't know how she can be a grown up cat if she is still so tiny. She looks as if she didn't quite finish growing up.
I was extremely upset at first, but after a while I got used to her smell, and now I guess she's okay. I even let her play with Clyde and me, even let her take our toys out of the toybox and bat them around. Pretty nice of me, isn't it?
Clyde was all ready to play with her right from the start. He never minded her being here at all. I think that's strange. But I am me and Clyde is Clyde, and we have different approaches towards life, and towards new cats intruding on our space. Clyde is fine with it. I guess I get upset at first, but I get over it. After all, I got over it with Clyde. I like him a lot now. It took me longer to get over it with this girl cat, but I managed eventually. See how magnanimous I am?
On the other hand, Clyde doesn't like it at all when strange beans come here. He runs and hides. Me, I go up to them and show off my friendly nature. Strange beans are always impressed.
So we are very different, Clyde and me. I'm fine with new beans, he's fine with new cats. But the important thing is that we are fine with each other, isn't it? I'm glad that Clyde is here now. I used to get awfully bored and lonely before he came, when Big Bean would be gone all day and I'd be all alone with nobody to play with. Now we play during the day when she's gone, and when she comes back she can try to figure out what we were up to that made the furniture get all rearranged. Heh heh heh.
We are cats. We're just doing our job - keeping the beans on their toes!
Oh hey, here's a
picture of Annabelle, the tiny girl cat who's staying with us for a while. She's tenth from the bottom. She's actually kinda cute.
Ahem.
For a girl, that is.
