Well, it was time to hit the cabins again

Johnny arrived at the cabin sometime after noon, and he threw his stuff on a bed in what appeared to be an empty alcove whatever number, and therefore claiming it as his own.

The cabins seemed pretty decent. Nice. Roomy. He could live like this for the next few weeks, no problem.

And there was yet another person Alphonse hadn't met yet, so he waved at him as well. "Hi!"

"Hi," Johnny said, coming forward and extending his hand, which might feel pretty hot. Some noticed, some didn't.

"You must be in this cabin too," Alphonse reached to grab his hand in a handshake; if it was unusually warm, he didn't think much of it. It was getting warmer outside too, anyway. "I'm Alphonse."

Johnny nodded, "That I am," he replied with a firm handshake. "I'm Johnny Storm, a new student. A pleasure to meet you Alphonse."

"Oh!" So far, it seemed like everyone in this cabin was a new student. Not that he minded. "Welcome to Fandom, then! It's nice to meet you, as well."

"Thank you," he said genuinely. "So I am gathering that you are not new here?"

Alphonse shook his head. "No, I'm not. I've been here for well over a year, now."

"A year, wow, then I guess you're pretty used to all the stuff I've only been hearing about. Where you from?"

"Yeah, I guess you could say that," Alphonse laughed. "From? Ah, another world, basically. No one I've run into yet has ever heard it."

"Makes sense. From what I hear there is a lot of people from other places here. I'm from New York City myself, ever heard of it?"

[got it, and since Johnny is rooming with Al's brother? I totally get..*G*]

Alphonse thought about it for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah, I think I have. It's that really, really big place, isn't it?"

Johnny grinned, "Yeah, dude, it's big. Real big." He busied himself with taking a few things out of his bag. "So when to the workshops start, do you know?"

"Oooh. I haven't been able to go anyplace else besides this island," Alphonse said, then nodded. "This Monday, I believe."

"Is that because you haven't wanted to, or by choice?" Johnny asked.

[kitty__fetish]

"I guess I just haven't really thought about it," he admitted. "To be honest I'm not very familiar with other places, so I wouldn't even know where to start."
