No advancement of the story, the most basic of plot premises, no characterization, no explanation of how future Mega Man X comes to be.... nothing? This isn't even to mention the brutalizing gameplay that requires the player to pointlessly memorize the way some random obstacle moves in order to not die immediately. This is Mega Man we're talking about, a powered-up super robot from the future. Capcom treats him as though he were a fragile piece of glass that shatters if you look at it a little too long.
I expected at least 1 or 2 poor reviews of this piece of dung. Instead, all I see are glowing reviews of a game that any nitwit could put together in a few hours these days. This is a tragic embarrassment for the videogame industry and I can't think of a worse indictment of Capcom. Is it a wonder that their company is hemorrhaging money when retro Mega Man is the best they can come up with?
