My mom is so cute...she sends me New York Times articles via e-mail in her attempt to keep me up to speed with current events. It is also her covert way of trying to mold me into the radical student activist that she was in the 60s and 70s. She really loves this stuff. Before each article she writes a little note to me...
Before an article about Ralph Nader running for President in 2004, my mom wrote this:
Hi Sweetie: Gore lost the election to Bush in Florida, where it was determined after 30 days of deliberation, that Bush beat Gore by only 527 (or was it 533?) votes in that state where 97,000 voters, mostly democrats, voted for Nader. Just think what the last four years would have been like if Nader hadn't run. Anyway, try to register on line again and request an absentee ballot. I love you. Mom PS Power to the people!
But I personally enjoy this memo before an article about an anti-war demonstration in Iowa...
