(no subject)
It's raining, so my garden is happy which means I am happy.
I am also working on wedding stuff. I am Very Close to finishing up what I need to do.
I have to:
- finish the programs
- get the programs printed
- decorate the wishing tree
- make a sign for the wishing tree/guest book and frame it
- make corsages & bootaneers (I know that's how it sounds, not how it's spelled, but seriously, screw french spelling, I'm too tired for that...)
I have completed:
- my bouquet
- acquiring all flowers and supplies to make the boota-eh, flower-thingies.
- name place-cards in frames, all alphabetized
- putting stickers on bubbles
- putting together a kid-kit with coloring books & glow bracelets
- finding candy dishes with mints
- decorating the guest book
- decorating a box/basket thingie for folks to put cards in
And there were a ton of other things like getting my dress tailored, getting Zack fitted for a tux, and lots of meetings with photographer, dj, officiant, venue/caterers, figuring out cake flavors, and arrrrghhh.
My wonderful sister has done a lot of work on decorations like flowers and candles for the tables. And I'm saving all floral stuff for when I get up there because I have discovered I do not like it and need help so mom and sister are going to lend a hand there.
Oh and then I have to pack all this stuff. I bought a plastic tote to fit it all in. We are packing for a con and a wedding in a Prius. And bringing the dog and his crate. Wish us luck. We need a TARDIS.
