Well, we have a contract on the house that we wanted now. Unless something catastrophic happens between now and then, we will close on the house on April 14th. Yay!!!!! I'm so excited. I wish we didn't have to wait two and a half months but it gives us time to get our closing money saved up. I did our taxes last night- yay for refunds! Also, I started my new job yesterday and I love it so far. Yesterday was basically meeting people and answering phones. Today was great though. I learned a lot about the accounting that I'm going to be doing and I made a deposit. I learned their ticket selling procedures and lots of tidbits of information that I'm trying to file away because I know they will be important later. Next week, the previous office manager will be here to help me learn everything (she is on vacation this week). It is so cool to have my OWN office and people that work for ME. I love being left alone to do my job with no one breathing down my neck. It really is the perfect job. We have a big murder mystery dinner fundraiser this weekend that I have to be at, so I loose Thursday, Friday and Saturday night to work. I expect that will be happening a lot. It is one of the only two drawbacks that I see to the job. The other is that I have to deal with a board of directors. They are my check signers and they don't work in the building, so anytime I need a check signed I have to hunt two of them down around Norman. Also, I have to report everything to them. If the theatre needs something I have to get bids from several different places to compare them and present the bids to the board for them to make the decision. I have two work-study people from OU that I supervise which is so neat. It is all a little overwhelming. I have a lot to learn and it is going to be a challenging job, but I am excited about it and definitely up for the challenge.
