A small update...
Well....we finally made it all the way into our new place. In the wee hours of saturday a.m. (like 3) we hauled the last of our crap here. What a week it has been. Of course, we were dying to get a shower and sleep so naturally something stupid happened. We were trying to get in the door and the door opened but the key stuck and would not come out. So here we are, 3 a.m., in the humidity on the deck with moths flying in our faces, a stray cat rubbing all over our feet and Melissa is unscrewing the lock and switching it out for another one. It took a whole freaking hour to get inside!
Needless to say, we got past that and have been so crazy busy/tired trying to set up everything. We had to rush around and try to buy furniture as we had virtually nothing, we cleaned most everything and tried to organize some stuff. We still need more furniture and we have to start painting this weekend.
I'm tired thinking about it.
Got to meet Melissa from California this week. Kate and Chris brought her over for a bit to visit. She's really sweet and it was nice to get to see her in person. Funny how it is that my Melissa and I enjoy my sisters friends more than the people we were supposed to be friends with. Chris, Jamie, Melissa and yes...even Robbie.....are so much more fun to be with. Our little "family" if you will.
Well...we are mostly back online but forgive us for taking forever to reply or update. New house lots of crap to do!
