(no subject)
Whoo, good weekends! I never realize how darn much I miss my brothers til I see them again.. Sam and Jake are just the cutest things in the whole world. And Ben is cute, too, but he'd get all teenage-angsty-and-annoyed if he knew I said that :). Getting to see them was definitely worth putting off working on my paper.. which, by the way, I'm still doing.
I got to go to the symphony Saturday night! It was frickin' amazing. There was Wagner and John Williams and everything! My mother bought Yuseph and I tickets for Christmas.. and then agreed to accompany me since Yuseph declined, so that was very sweet of her. And then, awkward about my weight as always, she gave me a box of triscuits for Easter. I'll never understand that woman. My dad burned me like ten million new CDs to listen to.. I'm very excited about that. He has really awesome taste in music.
My dad's side of the family, as expected, was pretty disappointed when they heard I was single again. My grandmother's only wish in the world, it seems, is to be a great grandmother. *sigh*
My mother told me that my biological father had called her a few months back to see how I was doing. It was a really awkward conversation.. she hates talking about him, and I've never even had so much as a letter from him in my life. Before yesterday I didn't know that they even talked to each other after he stopped paying child support when I was like four. It's always strange for me to think about him, and the possibility that he's somewhere out there. His father lived in Blair for a long time. I know that I'm related to half the people in Blair through my mother, but it's through my father, too.. maybe I pass cousins and half-siblings I don't know I have every day. Isn't that strange? I don't know.. I can never quite decide how to feel about the whole thing.
Man, I really need to finish this paper. I keep getting distracted! I think I've changed my myspace layout three or four times, read through about twenty random groups on facebook, and was on the phone for like an hour. Must do paper!
